ENERGY LANDSCAPES OF ST. LOUIS No. 2: THE FOREST
Artists: Emily Roehl, Chad Rutter
The Energy Landscapes of St. Louis project is a series of published materials, visual and textual, exploring the complex infrastructure, histories, and eco-social impacts of coal and oil found at the confluence of the Mississippi and Missouri rivers. The Forest is a poster edition that makes the usually invisible materiality of coal burning visible. This poster is printed with quikrete, a product made primarily from "up-cycled" coal fly ash.
